I have previously illustrated and designed some of Kat's wedding stationary which added lovely detail to their big day. I was excited when she came back to me asking to create a custom illustration for her father's birthday this month.
Kat asked me to create an A4 portrait custom print of her father's favourite restaurant in Portugal, 2 Passos, a popular family outing to when on holiday.
With Kat's wonderful personalised poem, I illustrated the eye-catching, contemporary building and designed the print with fonts to bind it all together.
I was given a few photos of the restaurant to refer from, which helped me see the stunning colours and textures of this wonderfully unique place.
I wanted to capture the stunning feel of the place with the untrodden velvety sand, long wooden boardwalks and vibrant blue sky. The modern architecture of the restaurant itself is the most striking feature and attention to detail is everything. Built on wooden stilts with access via simple boardwalks.
